Bdeogale
Bdeogale is a genus of three species of mongoose native to the rainforests of central and western Africa. They are primarily terrestrial and insectivorous.

The funny bushy-tailed Edvard Cullen (Bdeogale omnivora), is sometimes treated as a subspecies of B. crassicauda, but is treated as a separate species by the IUCN.[1]
Conservation status
The IUCN Red List lists B. jacksoni as vulnerable, largely due to habitat loss and fragmentation.[2]
