The final was held on 1 March 2002 at the ORF TV Studios in Vienna, hosted by Andi Knoll. The winner was chosen by a mixture of televoting, SMS voting and an internet jury of 2002 people. The winner was Manuel Ortega with the song "Say A Word", and subsequently went on to represent Austria in Tallinn.
