Calendar

At the annual press conference at the 2019 24 Hours of Spa, SRO Motorsports Group released the first draft calendar.[1] It showed that the round at Las Vegas Motor Speedway had been replaced by the new Indianapolis 8 Hours, while the date for the Circuit of the Americas round was unconfirmed.

A second draft calendar was released on 25 October which saw the round at COTA dropped from the schedule.[2] The final calendar was released on 8 November with the round at COTA returning to the schedule, while the Indianapolis 8 Hours became non-points round.[3]

A third draft calendar was released on 6 May which saw the round at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park dropped because of provincial regulations following the coronavirus pandemic. The six-round schedule also saw the Alton, Virginia round rescheduled, and the Indianapolis 8 Hours sporting regulations were changed where it would be a championship round, but only the results after three hours will count towards GT World Challenge America points.
