Zulfiqar Naqvi, born in Gursai village in Mendhar Tehsil near LoC in District Poonch of Jammu and Kashmir, is an Indian Urdu poet.[1][2]

Education and career

Zulfiqar Naqvi graduated from Jammu University in 1992. He completed his Masters in English in 1994 from Aligarh Muslim University. He then came back to his home town and started working as a Lecturer in Govt Degree College Poonch on adhoc basis. He has also served All India Radio, Poonch as an Announcer from 1994 to 1999. Meanwhile, he completed two more degrees, B.Ed from Jammu University and BIAMS from Kolkata. In 2004, Zulfiqar Naqvi joined J&K Education Department as plus two lecturer after his appointment through Public Service Commission.[1][3][4][5]

Zulfiqar Naqvi has authored two books in Urdu, Zaad-e-Safar and Ujaalu'n Ka Safar. His third book, Sar-e-Dasht-e-Bala is under publication. Moreover, his Urdu poems have been published on some Urdu websites.[2][4][6][7][8][9][10][11][12][13]
