Yorkville University is a private, non-denominational university established in 2003 under the New Brunswick Degree Granting Act.[1] The university accepted its first students in the fall of 2004 for the programs offered out of Fredericton, New Brunswick, which was at the time the only establishment under Yorkville University. The university has since launched brick-and-mortar campuses in Toronto, Ontario and Vancouver, British Columbia.[2] The three locations combined offer undergraduate and graduate programs. In 2018 it was named one of the best online universities in Canada.[3]

Academics

Yorkville University has been granted authority to offer degree programs in three provinces.

A. Ontario, Canada

Programs offered include:

  • Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with a specialization in Project Management
  • Bachelor of Interior Design

B. British Columbia, Canada

Programs offered include:

  • Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with a specialization in Accounting
  • Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with a specialization in Project Management
  • Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with a specialization in Energy Management
  • Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with a specialization in Supply Chain Management

C. New Brunswick, Canada

Programs offered include:

  • Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology
  • Master of Education in Adult Education
    • This program has been accredited by the Canadian Society for Training and Development (CSTD)[4]. This provides students with a membership with CSTD and a 1-year work experience credit towards a qualification requirement for the Certified Training and Development Professional (CTDP).
  • Master of Education in Educational Leadership
  • General Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)

Scholarships and Bursaries

Yorkville University offers scholarships and bursaries under the following programs:

a. Canadian Forces Bursary for Canadian Forces members and their families.

b. New Brunswick Provincial Government Employees Bursary Program for current employees of the New Brunswick Department of Education, the New Brunswick Department of Post-Secondary Education, Training and Labour and the New Brunswick Department of Family and Community Services.

c. Jacob Markovitz Memorial Scholarship available to new students entering their first trimester of study in a graduate program at Yorkville University.
