Wulian County (simplified Chinese: 五莲县; traditional Chinese: 五蓮縣; pinyin: Wǔlián Xiàn) is a county under the administration of Rizhao City, Shandong Province of China. The county is named after Wulian Mountain.[1][2] It has a land area of 1,443 square kilometers, and a population of 520,000 in 2001. Wulian County is the birthplace of noted poet Wang Fugang.[3]

In 2002, Wulian County administered nine towns and three townships:[7]

  • Towns: Hongning, Jietou, Yuli, Xumeng 许孟, Chaohe, Wanghu, Kouguan, Zhongzhi, Gaoze.
  • Townships: Shichang, Hubu, Songbai.
