Woodlands North MRT/RTS station (TE1/RTS) is a future underground Mass Rapid Transit and Rapid Transit System terminal station in Woodlands, Singapore, located near to Republic Polytechnic.[1] The station is the terminal of the Thomson–East Coast Line and the Singapore terminus of the Johor Bahru–Singapore Rapid Transit System.[2]
History
This station was first announced on 29 August 2012.[3] Before this station was built, it was named 'Woodlands North', 'Republic Polytechnic' and 'Admiralty Park'. In the end , Woodlands North was selected in 2014.
