The Wiawso College of Education is a teacher's college in Sefwi-Wiawso District, Western Region, Ghana. It was formally opened in 1952. The college was initially called Wiawso Body Corporate Training College, and Wiawso Anglican Training College.[1] Female students were first admitted in 1974.[2]
In 2014, the school campus hosted the National Farmer's Day celebrations. Students threatened to disrupt the ceremonies to protest delays in funding which they said were caused by corruption.[3]
The college participated in the DFID-funded T-TEL programme.[4]
