Abu al-As ibn Umayya
Abu al-As ibn Umayya was the son of Umayya ibn Abd Shams.[1][2]

- Uthman ibn Abu al-As, a companion of Muhammad.
- Affan, father of Caliph Uthman.
- al-Hakam,[3] the father of Marwan I, an Umayyad Caliph.
- Al-Mughirah ibn Abi al-As, grandfather of Abd Al-Malik ibn Marwan.
He also had a daughter:
- Safiyyah bint Abi al-As, who bore a daughter to Abu Sufyan named Ramlah bint Abi Sufyan. Ramlah was a wife of Muhammad.
