Harb ibn Umayyah
Harb ibn Umayyah was the father of Abu Sufyan and Arwa[1] and the son of Umayya ibn Abd Shams.[2] He and Alqamah ibn Safwan are said to have been killed by jinns.[3]
Harb ibn Umayya versus Banu Abdul Muttalib
Banu Umayyah increased their power in commerce at the expense of other tribes. Due to increase in commercial competition, dispute occurred between Harb ibn Umayya and leader of the Banu Hashim tribe, Abdul Muttalib.[4][5]
