WPFM was a commercial radio station located in Panama City, Florida, broadcasting on 107.9 FM. WPFM is currently owned and operated by Powell Broadcasting Company and used to air a Rhythmic Top 40 music format branded as "Hot 107.9".[1][2]
On September 21, 2018, it was announced that Educational Media Foundation had acquired the station. The future format has not yet been announced.[3]
In the aftermath of Hurricane Michael, Powell Broadcasting announced that it would cease operation of its Panama City stations, leaving the future of its licenses in the market in limbo.
