Vlorë District (Albanian: Rrethi i Vlorës) was one of the thirty-six districts of Albania (which were dissolved in 2000) that is now part of Vlorë County. It had a population of 151,314[1] (2010 estimate), and a land area of 1,609 km². It is in the south-west of the country, and its capital was Vlorë. Its population included a Greek minority.[2][3]

Other places in this district included Dhërmi, Ujë i Ftohtë, Palasë, Nartë and Kocul.
Vlorë is the closest point of the Albanian coast to the Italian Peninsula. The district well known for its coastline (see photo linked below).
