Mirditë District (Albanian: Rrethi i Mirditës) was one of the thirty-six districts of Albania (which were dissolved in 2000) that is now part of Lezhë County. It had a population of 26,668[1] (2010 estimate), and an area of 867 km². It is in the north of the country, and its capital was Rrëshen. The district was located within the wider region of Mirdita whose territory is synonymous with the historic Albanian tribe of the same name.
