Viaje a las estrellas is the seventh studio album of contemporary Christian music duo Tercer Cielo.^[4] The album was released digitally on April 5, 2011 and May 3 in physical format. The album was produced and distributed under the Universal Music Latin/Vene Music/Fé y Obra Music/Kasa Productions/Mucho Fruto record labels. The album's lead single called "Tu amor no es de este mundo" was a hit in Latin America and North America. The music video reached over 10 million views on YouTube. The album was produced and written solely by Juan Carlos Rodríguez. To promote it, Tercer Cielo embarked on an international tour in America and Europe. The album won a Latin Grammy in 2011.

Antecedents and production

After promoting his previous album, Gente común, sueños extraordinarios, and having recorded his first live album in the Coliseo of Puerto Rico, Rodríguez began to devote time to the production of a new album. At the end of 2009, Juan Carlos announced via his Twitter account that the duo's album was in the pre-production stage and the title already was chosen.^[5] In early 2011, the duo posted a video on YouTube of them working in the recording studio and previewed songs which would be on the album, such as the unreleased track "Estaré" which is electronic music and dancepop, which the duo has never done before. It took two months of recording, in different studios, one in the Dominican Republic: Bryan Studio, and another, Fé Studio, in Chandler, Arizona^[6]

The album managed to be in the number 2 spot of the most sold albums in Puerto Rico, according to Nielsen's SoundScan index. Thing by which his label VeneMusic (which forms part of Venevisión) congratulated to the duet by said attainment. When knowing this Juan Carlos expressed "We are very appreciated by the backrest that always receive of Puerto Rico. This engages us still but to give them the best of us and of our music in function of leave a message of love and hope".^[7] The album obtained several nominations for important prizes like the Latin Grammy for the category Christian Album in Spanish. Juan Carlos commented: "We are very appreciated with our people by all his support; and with the members of the academy (LARAS) for having us awarded this nomination. For us it is a divine honour be considered to similar award, and we congratulate to the other nominated" and Evelyn expressed: "When I knew that we were nominated to the Latin Grammy, the eyes filled me of tears, when thinking in the fidelity of God, as it fulfilled a dream that had from girl. Thanks to all those that have supported us, without you was not possible". Others of the nominations that attained was to the prizes of Christian music "Arpa" like Album of the Year, to the Premios Casandra (now appointed "Premios Soberano") as Best album of contemporary religious music, also nominated to the Billboard Latin music awards in the category Best Album pop of group or duet nominated beside Camila, Culture profética and Hillsong in 2011 in which Tercer Cielo presented an award.
