Fe'Zahn Tremaine Edmunds (born May 2, 1998) is an American football linebacker for the Buffalo Bills of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Virginia Tech and was drafted by the Bills in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft.

Early years

Edmunds attended Dan River High School in Ringgold, Virginia.[1] He committed to Virginia Tech to play college football.[2][3]

College career

Edmunds played at Virginia Tech from 2015 to 2017 under head coaches Frank Beamer and Justin Fuente. As a junior season in 2017, he was a finalist for the Butkus Award after recording 108 tackles and 5.5 sacks.[4] After the season, he decided to forgo his senior year and enter the 2018 NFL Draft.[5][6] He finished his career with 213 tackles, 10 sacks, and 1 interception.

Edmunds was drafted by the Buffalo Bills with the 16th overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft.[9] At 19 years of age, he was the youngest player to be drafted, and was also the second teenager to be drafted in the first round since Amobi Okoye was in 2007.[10] On May 12, 2018, Edmunds signed a four-year deal worth $11.847 million, all guaranteed.[11] In his NFL debut in the Bills' season opener, he recorded a sack and seven total tackles in the 47–3 loss.[12]

Personal life

His brothers, Trey and Terrell also played college football at Virginia Tech.[13][14] Trey plays in the NFL on the practice squad for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Terrell was also drafted in the 2018 NFL Draft in the first round by the Pittsburgh Steelers. Their father, Ferrell Edmunds, also played in the NFL, appearing in two Pro Bowls.[15] Tremaine and Terrell Edmunds are the first set of brothers to be drafted in the first round of the same NFL Draft.[16]
