Alexander was selected by the Green Bay Packers in the first round (18th overall) of the 2018 NFL Draft.[7] On May 15, 2018, Alexander signed a four-year deal worth $12.147 million featuring a $6.914 million signing bonus.[8]

On September 16, 2018, Alexander had what would have been the first interception of his career off of Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins, but was negated due to a roughing the passer call on teammate Clay Matthews. The penalty proved costly, as Green Bay ended the week 2 game in a 29-29 tie. Two weeks later, in a week 4 game against the Buffalo Bills, Alexander intercepted Bills quarterback Josh Allen, which was the first of Alexander’s career, in 22-0 Green Bay win.
