January 2018

  • January 15 2018 Baghdad bombings: Two suicide bombings took place at al-Tayaran Square of Baghdad, killing 38 people and injuring more than 105 others. ISIL claimed responsibility.[1]

April 2018

  • April 12 2018 Asdira funeral bombing: 25 people were killed and 18 wounded when explosives exploded at a funeral for Sunni Muslim tribal fighters in the village of Asdira near the northern Iraqi town of Al-Shirqat.[2][3][4] ISIS claimed responsibility.

July 2018

  • July 25 2018 As-Suwayda attacks: String of suicide bombings and gun attacks that took place in and around As-Suwayda, Syria on 25 July, killing at least 246 people and injuring more than 200. The attacks were committed by the ISIS.[5][6]
