The Tennessee State Tigers are the college football team representing the Tennessee State University. The Tigers play in NCAA Division I Football Championship as a member of the Ohio Valley Conference.

First FBS Win

On August 31, 2017, the Tennessee State Tigers defeated their first FBS opponent in program history by defeating the Georgia State Panthers 17–10 in Georgia State Stadium. The victory was also the first FCS victory over a FBS team in 2017.[2]
