Taasir is a multi edition and one of the leading national Urdu daily newspapers published in India. It was established in 2013 and was first launched in Patna, the capital city of Bihar State.[1][2]

Taasir is currently published in eight Indian states with nine editions: Patna, Muzaffarpur, New Delhi, Bengaluru, Gangtok, Ranchi, Guwahati, Howrah, Chennai and Bhagalpur

The paper is very much active on the major social networking sites. Its online portal and epaper are very popular among readers throughout the world. Besides India, its epaper readers are in the UAE, the USA, the UK, Canada, Hongkong, Saudi Arabia, the Philippines, Uganda, and Singapore.

History

Taasir was first launched at Patna. Its first issue was published on 5 January 2013 and was circulated within the city only.

Gradually more readers began to like the news content of Taasir. Readers in areas where the paper did not reach began to read it online. Taasir's popularity started to spread outside Bihar state, and the publisher started an edition from New Delhi. Since then, it has gone on to cover other states of India.

The paper has expanded its reach to many other cities like:

  • Gangtok
  • Guwahati
  • Ranchi
  • Howrah
  • Chennai

Some editions of Taasir cover more than five states alone. For example, the Patna edition covers Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Delhi, Uttrakhand and Jharkhand besides Bihar.

In view of its popularity and mass readership, Taasir Patna has been empanelled by the Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Jharkhand and Government of Uttar Pradesh.

This edition of Taasir has already been empanelled by the Government of Bihar for receiving regular Government advertisements. Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has also included and empanelled this Urdu daily along with those prominent newspapers of India which receive regular advertisements.

Being the status of "National Daily" Taasir has been approved and empanelled by the I&PRDs of different other State Governments like Chhatisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir and Jharkhand.

Taasir has recently launched its mobile application in the name of Roznama Taasir for attracting more readers around the globe. According to Google Analytics report, the epaper of Taasir is being read by the readers of other countries also like USA, UK, Canada, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Pakistan, Germany, Australia, Bangladesh, Burundi, Colombia, Denmark, Iran, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Nepal, Oman etc. globally.
