Surbhi Chandna[1][2] (pronounced [suːrbʱiː tʃaːnɖnaː]) is an Indian television actress. She got her breakthrough in Zee TV's Qubool Hai as Haya. Currently, she plays the role of Annika in Star Plus's Ishqbaaaz. She also appeared in the spin-off of Ishqbaaaz, Dil Boley Oberoi. She is a trained Bharatanatyam dancer. She was ranked 7th in the 2017 TV Personality list by BizAsia.[3]

Career

At the beginning of her career, Chandna did several ad-shoots and TV commercials. Despite having no background in acting,[4] she started taking up small roles. In 2009 she had a cameo role in SAB TV's popular show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah as Sweety. In 2013 she appeared in Star Plus's show Ek Nanad Ki Khushiyon Ki Chaabi… Meri Bhabhi as Suzanne.

Chandna portrayed Haya, a deaf and mute girl in Zee TV's daily soap Qubool Hai.[5]

She also played the role of Aamna Khan/Aditi in the 2014 Vidya Balan starrer Bobby Jasoos and appeared in an episodic role in the Sony serial Aahat.[6]

Currently, Chandna plays the role of Annika in Star Plus's Ishqbaaaz.[7][8][9][10][11] She also appeared in the spin-off show of Ishqbaaaz, Dil Boley Oberoi.[12][13][14][15]

Following the success of Ishqbaaaz,[16][17][18] Chandna made an appearance in episode 6 of Farah Khan's "Lip Sing Battle" on Star Plus. Bollywood Life praised the duo's performance on the show, claiming that "Nakuul and Surbhi's crazy antics made it the most enjoyable episode of the show so far."[19]
