Super Smash Con is a video game convention and tournament focused on the Super Smash Bros. series, held in Chantilly, Virginia at the Dulles Expo Center. Although the convention mainly focuses on Super Smash Bros. (hosting various tournaments and Combo contests for all games in the franchise), different video games are also showcased and available to play as well.

History

Ideas for a convention focused solely on Super Smash Bros. began since 2014, specifically by Justin Wykowski.[1] Since its inception in 2015, the tournament portion of the event currently stands as one of the largest Super Smash Bros. tournaments to date, having more overall entrants in 2017 than the EVO Championship Series.[2]
