Counter-Strike: Global Offensive

In January 2017 Misfits acquired the ex-TSM CS:GO roster, composed of Sean "seang@res" Gares, Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken, Skylar "Relyks" Weaver, Shazeb "ShahZaM" Khan and Hunter "SicK" Mims.[4] As part of their acquisition of the roster, Misfits gained a spot in the ESL Pro League due to their players having already qualified while representing TSM.[9] Shortly after joining the Misfits org, Skylar "Relyks" Weaver was released from the roster.[10] Following he release of "Relyks", Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken was transferred to Team Liquid after spending time on loan at the team for just under a week.[11] In the same day of "Twistzz" departure from the team, it was announced that they had signed the French duo of David "devoduvek" Dobrosavljevic and François "AmaNEk" Delaunay.[12] In the following months, the team was able to qualify for the ELEAGUE Major: Boston 2018 due to the team French Canadians not being able to get proper US Visas. The ELEAGUE Major brought poor showings from the team. They were only able to string together one win and were subsequently eliminated from the tournament with a 1-3 record. Following the tournament, the Contracts of Sean "seang@res" Gares, Shazeb "ShahZaM" Khan and Hunter "SicK" Mims had expired,[13] leaving the only remaining players on the roster "devoduvek" and "AmaNEk". Recently, the team has been rumored to have plans to acquire the Ex-Gale Force roster, an all Hispanic team composed mainly of Argentinian players.[14]

Tournament results

League of Legends

Misfit's League of Legends team was formed in May 2016 to compete in the European Challenger Series Summer Qualifiers after their original parent organisation, Renegades, was given a competitive ruling and banned from the competitive LoL scene. The first LoL roster of Misfits consisted of Alphari, Wisdom, Selfie, Yuuki60 and Dreams.[5]

Misfits successfully qualified for the European Challenger Series after defeating EURONICS Gaming 3-1 in the finals.[19] In the 2016 EU CS Summer Split, Misfits finished first and qualified for the 2017 EU LCS Spring Promotion tournament,[20] where they defeated Schalke 3-1 and advanced to the EU LCS.[21]

On 13 April 2017, Misfits' sister team, Misfits Academy, qualified for the 2017 EU LCS Summer Split after defeating Origen 3-0 and Fnatic Academy 3-2.[22]

On 19 May 2017, Misfits sold its academy team and second LCS spot to the German eSports organisation Mysterious Monkeys. The entire academy roster, excluding their jungler Pridestalker, was acquired by the Mysterious Monkeys.[23]

Overwatch

In late June 2016, Misfits acquired the roster of Graviton Surge, consisting of Swedish players Nicholas "Skipjack" Rosada, Jonathan "Kryw" Nobre, Andreas "Nevix" Karlsson, Terrence "SoOn" Tarlier, Sebastian "Zebbosai" Olsson and Nikolaj "Zaprey" Ian Moyes.[24]

Fighting games

Misfits ventured into the professional Super Smash Bros. scene on 29 November 2016, when they signed Ryan "The Moon" Coker-Welch. The organisation later expanded to more traditional fighting games with the signing of Armando "Angelic" Mejia.
