Spring Fest, known as SF, is the annual social and cultural festival of the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur held during January in the spring semester.[1][2][3] The first edition was held in 1960.[4] The 58th edition of Spring Fest was held from January 20th to 22nd, 2017.[5]

Activities

During the fest, students from IIT Kharagpur and from different colleges all over the country participate in a multitude of social and cultural activities.[6][7] The ambit of the events encompasses various genres like Dance, Music, Dramatics, Photography, Literature, Quizzing and Fine Arts.[8]

International bands like Dead By April[9] Breathe, the Floyd Sound,[10] Monuments,[11] Led Zepplica,[12] and TesseracT[13] have also performed on the Spring Fest stage.
