''Skyrim'' mods

Skyrim mods are downloadable, community-made modifications that players can download from a fan site and place it into their game to enhance their gaming experience. Players of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim have created and shared many add-on modifications ("mods") to the game since its 2011 release. This scene composed a major part of game's player community on the Windows platform. Skyrim's remastered release brought user-created mods to the console platforms Xbox One and PlayStation 4 as well.[1]

As of July 31, 2018, Skyrim, including Special Edition, has seen over 1.6 billion unique downloads from Nexus Mods. There are 72 thousand mods combined on Nexus Mods, including Special Edition.
