Skardu Airport (IATA: KDU, ICAO: OPSD) is a domestic civil airport and military airbase in Skardu,Gilgit-Baltistan,Pakistan. It is connected with Pakistan's capital, Islamabad, and Gilgit, the provincial capital of Gilgit-Baltistan, through regular Pakistan International Airlines flights. It also serves as a forward operating base of the Pakistan Air Force.[1]

Skardu Airport has two asphalt runways, one 8,740 ft (2,664 m) long and the other 11,944 ft (3,641 m) long. The airport operates from dawn to dusk.

Skardu, along with Gilgit, are the major tourism, trekking and expedition hubs in Gilgit-Baltistan. It therefore attracts tourists from around the world. Due to extreme weather and mountainous terrain, the means for getting around are limited. Hotels are available in the city to cater to the significant tourist activity.
