Sigma1 Gruis is a white-hued star in the constellation Grus. Its apparent magnitude is 6.28. Located around 68.31 parsecs (222.8 ly) distant, it is an A-type main-sequence star with a stellar classification of A3 Vn; a star that is currently fusing its core hydrogen. It is a source of X-ray emission, which may indicate it has a stellar companion.[8]
