Shivanagar is a town in Krishnanagar Municipality in Kapilvastu District in the Lumbini Zone of southern Nepal. The former VDC was merged to form the municipality established on 18 May 2014 Krishnanagar, Sirsihawa, Shivanagar VDCs.[1][2] At the time of the 2011 Nepal census it had a population of 4,774 people living in 735 individual households.[3]

History

The village is named after Mr. Shiv Prasad Rajouria,have 7 sons .Ram prasad rajouria, and shiv prasad are two brothers and Ram prasad rajouria son name is bindessori rajouria has only one child mr.krishna prasad rajouria . who was one of the most honourable men of Kapilvastu district during his time (early-and-mid-20th century). Rajouria was known for his leadership, community work and charity. Rajouria left behind a large family that even today is well known in Kapilvastu. The village development community consists of 9 villages.......and this time also is very high class people of kapilvastu ......................................

Krishna. Prasad Rajouria have two sons , and daughter  are six and krishna prasad rajouria first son name is Mr.Anand Rajouria and second son name is Mr.Anant Rajouria.....In this time two brothers are far from each other..

Mr.Anand Rajouria have 3 child .2sons , one daughter ..first son name ki mr.Adarsh rajouria and second son name is mr.Akarshit Rajouria and Mr.Anand rajouria brother Mr. Anant Rajouria have 2 child . One son, one daughter. Son name is mr.Ashim rajouria and daughter name is mrs.Aswi Rajouria...............
