(SCEH) Sagarmatha Choudhary Eye Hospital, Lahan is located in eastern region of Nepal in Lahan. It was founded in 1983. Since its start as a small eye unit with only 12 beds in 1983, SCEH has continually grown and today is a high-volume eye hospital with eleven satellite clinics, providing eye services to the economically poor and under-privileged population in eastern Nepal and northern India. It has grown into a network of eye hospitals and has had a major impact in eradicating cataract related blindness. Sagarmatha Choudhary Eye Hospital has treated 49,84,416 patients and performed 10,61,712 surgeries till 2017.
