Runnymede Borough Council elections

One third of Runnymede Borough Council in Surrey, England is elected each year, followed by one year where there is an election to Surrey County Council instead. The council is divided up into 14 wards, electing 42 councillors, since the last boundary changes in 2000.[1]

Following 2016 election

Composition following election: Conservatives 36, Runnymede Independent Residents' Group 6.

Conservative councillor Howard Butterfield (Foxhills) resigned his seat in March 2017.[18] At the by-election on 4 May 2017 the seat was held by the Conservatives.[19] New councillor Emma Bancroft's term ends 3 May 2018.[20]

Councillor Stewart Mackay (Addlestone North) resigned from the party on 23 January 2018.[21]

Conservative councillors for Chertsey South and Row Town, Barry Pitt (term ends 2018) and Terry Dicks (term ends 2019), resigned in March 2018. The by-election for the 2019 seat will be held along with the other elections on 3 May 2018.[22]

Conservative councillor Dannielle Khalique (Foxhills) resigned in March 2018. The seat term ends in 2019.[22]
