Pran Sukh Yadav (1802–1888) was a military commander.[2] He a revolutionary of the Indian Rebellion of 1857 and as a close friend of Hari Singh Nalwa and the Punjab ruler Maharaja Ranjit Singh.[3]

In his early career, Yadav trained the Sikh Khalsa Army. After the death of Ranjit Singh, he fought in both the First and Second Anglo-Sikh Wars. His hatred of the British after the defeat of Sikhs led him to begin giving military training to the farmers of Alwar, Rewari, Narnaul, Ahirwal and Mahendragarh region.[4]

Revolt of 1857

In the revolt of 1857, Rao Tula Ram, Rao Jaitsi Singh and Pran Sukh Yadav fought against the British forces at Nasibpur and then went to Russia to seek military help but died on the way. [5]
