Panay River

Panay River is the longest river in Panay island, Philippines, with a total length of approximately 152 kilometres ( 94 miles ) long, with a drainage basin area of 2,181 km2 (841sq.mi). Draining a large portion of Panay Island and almost entire province of Capiz and northern portion of Iloilo province in Western Visayas region. The average discharge water of Panay river is 1,630 cu ft/s ( 46.15 m3/s ). Its main tributaries are Tapaz river, Mambusao river on the left, and Badbaran river and Maayon river on the right. The source of Panay river started in the mountainous area of Jamindan, Capiz runs toward south and changing its direction in Tapaz toward east - northeast and traverses through the municipalities of Tapaz, Dumalag, Cuartero, Dao, Panitan, and Pontevedra,Capiz.
