Nim Dorjee Tamang (born 30 October 1995) is an Indian professional footballer who plays as a centre back for Pune City in the Indian Super League.

Career

Born in Melli, Sikkim,[2] Tamang started his career at the Namchi Sports Hostel in Sikkim before joining the Air Force Academy in 2009.[3] After playing with the India national under-16 set-up, he joined Shillong Lajong at the youth level.[3]

After a successful season in the Shillong Premier League, Tamang was called up to the Shillong Lajong first-team for the Federation Cup.[4] He made his professional debut on the first match-day against Pune on 29 December 2014. He started the match as Shillong Lajong fell 1–3.[5]

FC Pune City

On 23 July 2017, Nim has been picked up by FC Pune City for 2017-18 ISL season.


International

Tamang has represented India at under-19 level in two friendlies against the China as part of the preparatory tour for the 2014 AFC U-19 Championship qualification.[3][6] He was part of the squad that played in the 2014 AFC U-19 Championship but did not make any appearances.
