Narvesen store in Førde, Norway

Narvesen is a Norwegian chain of convenience stores-news agents, and is one of Norway's largest convenience store chains with 370 stores. The company is now part of the Reitan Group (Reitangruppen).[1][2][3]

Narvesens Kioskkompagni, later Narvesen, was established by Bertrand Narvesen. In 1894, he received approval from the Norwegian State Railways to take over the sale of newspapers, magazines and travel literature on the national railways. Narvesen became a nationwide company and a joint stock company in 1928.[4]

Narvesen has been owned by the Reitan Group since 2000. Narvesen stores also exist in Latvia with 249 stores [5] and in Lithuania with 260 stores.[6][7]
