Mugda Medical College & Hospital is a 500-bed facility, for which construction began in 2006. The hospital opened in July 2013, and started admitting patients in early 2014. The hospital includes a 13-story building on 9.5 acres of land.[1][2][3]

This hospital is home to a new medical college of Bangladesh. It is the 4th government medical college inside Dhaka metropolitan city. From the first month of 2016, it has started classes of regular MBBS course.[4]

This medical college is running their 3rd batch already. It has its own cultural, sports and social committee. Different programmes are held on occasions.
