The Melaka Planetarium (Malay: Planetarium Melaka) is a planetarium in Ayer Keroh, Central Melaka District, Melaka, Malaysia.[1][2]
History
The planetarium was officiated by Melaka Chief Minister Mohd Ali Rustam on 10 August 2009. It is the second planetarium opened in Melaka after the Al-Khawarizmi Astronomy Complex in Masjid Tanah.[3]
Architecture
The planetarium was built with the Islamic architecture and a landing UFO with a cost of MYR20 million over an area of 0.7 hectares and 3 floors. It consists of four sections, which are astronomy, outer space, simulation and physics.[4]
Exhibitions
The planetarium exhibits the magnificent cosmos, history of astronomy and astronomers, and also various attractions.
