Mayani Mamata (English: Immortal Affection) is a 1970 Telugu drama film, produced by Bhamidipati Bapaiah Panthulu under the Bhavani Pictures banner[2] and directed by Kamalakara Kameswara Rao.[3] It stars N. T. Rama Rao, B. Saroja Devi and Sobhan Babu in the lead roles,[4] with music composed by Aswatthama.[5]

Plot

Madhu (N. T. Rama Rao) is a noble writer, during silver jubilee celebrations of a popular magazine Vajrayudham, Madhu is felicitated by Editor Janakiramaiah (Dhulipala). Madhu falls in love with Janakiramaiah's daughter Jyothi (B. Saroja). Jagannadham (Nagabhushanam), a millionaire, is involved in many types of criminal activities and hates the Vajrayudham magazine, because they try to expose him. Ravi (Sobhan Babu), son of Janakiramaiah loves Neela (Lakshmi), daughter of Jagannadham. Jagannadham puts the paper into heavy debts and Janakiramaiah dies of a heart attack. Madhavaiah, Madhu in disguise, clears the debt, releases the press and continues exposing Jagannatham’s evil deeds. Ravi sells his property to clear the rest of the debts and leaves to Bombay, on the way Jagannatham's henchmen try to kill him and news spreads that Ravi is dead. After that, Madhu goes abroad on literary work. Jagannadham abuses Jyothi, so, she leaves the house, gets shelter in an orphanage by changing her name to Seeta. Madhu returns, searches for Jyothi, but could not succeed, under some circumstances he agrees to marry Neela as his mother’s (Hemalatha) last wish, who is on her deathbed. Neela tries to commit suicide, but Jyothi protects her, both of them become friends and makes her agree to the marriage. Meanwhile, Ravi comes back earning money to marry Neela. Jagannatham catches him and keeps him in a secret place. During the time of marriage, Naagu (Tyagaraju), henchman of Jagannatham kidnaps Jyothi, Madhavaiah protects both Ravi and Jyothi; all of them reach the marriage hall. Madhavaiah removes his disguise, proves that Jagannatham is the real culprit and gets him arrested. Finally, the movie ends with marriages of Madhu & Jyothi and Ravi & Neela.
