Plot

This is the story of a girl named Kalpana (Sujatha), who stays in the women's hostel. She soon falls into wrong ways. She meets Balu (Vijayakumar) and falls in love with him. She becomes pregnant and tries to commit suicide, but fails. Her roommate, Revathi (Jayalakshmi), helps her out from this frustration. After some days, Kalpana gets married to Kumar (Muthuraman), while Revathi marries Vaasan (Thengai Srinivasan). Kumar is a rich industrialist, whereas Vaasan is a struggling photographer. Vaasan soon starts blackmailing Kalpana, as he has photographs of Kalpana and Balu. In an accident, Kalpana gets injured and Balu, who is now working in her house as driver, helps her.
