Marcus Lovingood (born July 19, 1985) is an American new media producer, director and internet entrepreneur. Lovingood worked for Disney Entertainment Productions on numerous Disneyland Resort parades and shows such as Fantasmic! and Block Party Bash while also touring in two Broadway World Tours of West Side Story. Lovingood appeared on Bravo's 'Start-Ups: Silicon Valley,[1] and is also known for his work on the 2012 United States presidential election of President Barack Obama[2] by founding the Pride PAC,[3] the first LGBT-based Super Political Action Committee. Lovingood was the CEO and Founder of Futureleap Media,[4] a social media production and distribution agency that handles the VOD distribution of titles such as Wannabe[5] starring Octavia Spencer and Ronny and I, Directed by Guy Shalem[6] and Executive Produced by Jane Lynch[7] and Bryan Singer.[8][9]

In 2017, Lovingood was elected as Community Vice President of the Stonewall Young Democrats, an LA-based political organization recognized by the CA Democratic Party, whose mission is to help elect pro-LGBT individuals and people of color to local and state office.[10]

Instinct Magazine Leading Men of 2012

Lovingood was listed as one of Instinct Magazine's Leading Men of 2012[11] for his work as the founder of the Pride PAC.

Broadway Live

In 2013, Lovingood started Broadway Live,[12] an online broadcast network bringing Broadway content to PC's and Mobile Devices. Early episodes featured top Broadway performers such as Shoshana Bean and star of NBC's Smash Megan Hilty.[13] On June 16, 2014 Broadway Live: Unplugged with Jonathan Reid Gealt premiered at Joe's Pub in New York City featuring X-Factor's Rachel Potter, Mama Mia's Zak Resnick and The Voice's Loren Allred.[14] The concert was broadcast on Monday, August 25, 2014.

Lovingood Studios & Lovingood Filmfund

In 2015, Lovingood Studios was launched with Academy Award winning American film producer Brad Wyman[15]. The company's first initiative was the introduction of Lovingood Filmfund, the first cryptocurrency-backed movie crowdfunding platform.[16] Lovingood Filmfund uses blockchain-based crowdfunding technology to create an altcoin, 'E-TIX' to fund and distribute movies and entertainment projects online.[17] Lovingood launched a crowdsale to help fund the first 'Bitcoin Trailer Fund', a cryptocurrency backed initiative providing small bitcoin grants to film projects.[18]

Broadway Masters

In 2016, Lovingood founded Broadway Masters with choreographer Paul McGill, an online streaming masterclass that assembles Broadway talent to share their journey from the studio to the stage in a digital educational program.[19] The program features stars of the stage including Taye Diggs (RENT, Hedwig and the Angry Inch), Anthony Rapp (RENT, If/Then), Laura Osnes (Grease!, Cinderella), Jon Rua (Hamilton, In the Heights), Nick Adams (Priscilla..., Wicked), Lindsay Mendez (Wicked, Godspell), Kurt Froman (Movin' Out, BLACK SWAN, NYC Ballet), Courtney Reed (Aladdin, In the Heights), Charlotte D'Amboise (Chicago, A Chorus Line), and a final interview with series director McGill, the series provides insight into the journey of making it on Broadway. Through the experience and real-stories of successful actors in the theater industry, Broadway Masters provides students with insights into what you need to make it on the boards and stay there.[20] Each go into depth about their path in the business, lessons and hardships they faced along their journey, and advice they would give to aspiring actors.[21]
