Maluri
Maluri (Chinese: 马鲁里 or sometimes called Taman Maluri by local) is a suburb which is on the border of the constituencies of Titiwangsa[1] and Cheras in eastern Kuala Lumpur.
It is located along Jalan Cheras
Location
Maluri is located close to the boundary between Cheras and Kuala Lumpur's central business district. It is adjacent to Kampung Pandan, Pandan Jaya and Jalan Cochrane, and across the Kerayong River is the development of Shamelin Perkasa.
Public amenities
It houses a number of public schools, private schools and international ones. Most notable is Sri Garden Kuala Lumpur, which has a private school and international school located on the same campus.
Commercial activity
Maluri is perhaps notable for being home to JUSCO's oldest store (though not the first) in Malaysia, which opened on 30 October 1989. Newer malls sprung up in the area in recent years, most notably Sunway Velocity Mall. IKEA's second store in Malaysia and MyTown opened along Jalan Cochrane, just adjacent to Maluri.[2]
