Luck Peak State Park is a multi-unit public recreation area located on the shores of Lucky Peak Lake ten miles (16 km) east of Boise in Ada County, Idaho.[1] The state park was created in 1956 by agreement with the United States Army Corps of Engineers, following completion of the Lucky Peak Dam.[3]

The park has three units: Discovery Park, off State Highway 21, is a roadside park with picnic tables, shelters, and opportunities for fishing in the Boise River. The nearby Sandy Point unit is at the base of the dam, and has a sandy beach with calm water for wading and swimming. At the northern end of the lake, the Spring Shores unit has two boat ramps and a marina.[4]
