This is a list of countries by cancer rate, as measured variously by the number of new cancer cases (frequency), or death rate (mortality), per 100,000 population among countries (and dependencies).

Cancer frequency

This is a list of countries by cancer frequency, as measured by the number of new cancer cases per 100,000 population among countries, based on the 2012 and 2014 GLOBOCAN statistics.[1] It excludes non-melanoma skin cancer.

Cancer deaths

There are databases for "cancer mortality", including WHO's International Agency for Research on Cancer.[2] The 2014 IARC statistics include 172 countries.

Other statistics

  • According to the American National Cancer Institute, the statistics for the USA was 454.8 from a 2016 estimation based on the 2008-2012 cases diagnosed.[3] Latest total new cases for 2018 are 1,735,350 which, in a US population of ca. 327 million, gives a steady increase to a new rate of 530.7 per 100,000.[4][5]
