Launaea picridioides is a species of aster flower that belongs to the Asteraceae family. The species is endemic to Cape Verde and is listed as vulnerable by the IUCN.[1] The species name comes from the Greek for the "bitter like kind".
Distribution
The species is found in the northwest of Cape Verde, the west of the Barlavento Islands in the islands of Santo Antão, São Vicente and São Nicolau. The plant is found between 200 and 900 m in elevation.[1]
