Launaea gorgadensis is a species of plant that belongs to the Asteraceae family. The species is endemic to Cape Verde and is listed as critically endangered by the IUCN.[1]
Distribution
The species is found in the northwest of Cape Verde, the west of the Barlavento Islands in the islands of Santo Antão, São Vicente and São Nicolau. The plant is found between 150–450 m (490–1,480 ft) in elevation. It is a mesophyte plant which grows in sub-humid and semi-arid areas[1]
