Plot

Raja Ramachandra Bahadur (N. T. Rama Rao) is a Zamindar who gives priority to the family prestige and self-esteem. At the same time, he was known for his charities. His son Raghunatha Prasad (again N. T. Rama Rao) is a modern man who gives priority to social work and is a strong believer in patriotism. Once, he gets the acquaintance of a dancer, Seeta (Jayanthi), granddaughter of a blind old man who sacrificed everything for the country. Seeta also uses her art for the welfare of people. Raghu falls in love with her. Ramachandra Bahadur objects to their marriage. Raghu leaves the house and marries her. Under the guidance of Raghu, Seeta earns fame. They are blessed with a boy, Shankar. After the birth of the child, Seeta settles as a dance teacher. Ramachandra Bahadur now feels for his son and grandson and his Diwan makes a crooked plan by which Raghu suspects Seeta, takes his son and leaves the house by writing a letter. Seeta’s heart breaks after seeing the letter and her grandfather dies due to the shock. Seeta wants to prove her chastity so, she goes in search of her husband. Raghu changes his name starts working as a laborer and educates his son. Seeta, in search of Raghu faints in a train. A contractor who is traveling on the same train with his family rescues her. He requests her to stay along with them and his daughter Radha also becomes close to her. Years roll by, Shankar (once again N. T. Rama Rao) becomes a doctor and works at a medical college. Radha (Aarthi) also studies in the same college and they love each other. There, Raja Ramachandra Bahadur becomes sick and mentally upset, dreaming for his son and grandson. Once, Seeta gets sick and Radha calls Shankar when he recognizes his mother. But he does not want to meet her until his father approves of her. The rest of the story is how Shankar reunites his parents and teaches a lesson to his grandfather.
