Kri (English:Revenge, Nepali; कृ)is a 2018 Nepali romance drama action film, directed and written by Surendra Poudel, produced by Subas Giri and Bhuwan K.C.. The movie stars Aditi Budhathoki, Anmol K.C. and Anoop Bikram Shahi in the pivotal roles. The story is about an army man who lost his love who gets kidnapped and starts on pursuit of finding her.. It was Superhit in Nepal[1][2]

The film was released on 9 February 2018 (Bikram Sambat 26 Magh 2074) in Nepal and 14 February 2018 Worldwide release. The film received mixed to negative reviews from critics though it received praise for its cinematography, music and some actors performances. With budget of रु 3.5 crore it is one of the most expensive movie made in Nepal. The film broke records various record at box office in Nepal and was a hit at box office.[3][4][5]

Plot

Laure (anmol kc) is an army recruit who comes to Nepal in Holidays. There are Many Girls Who Want To Marry Him But He Still Loves his Childhood Love Interest Kusum ( Aditi Budhathoki ) he visits her village And Decide Not To tell Her That He is Laure So That He Can Test Whether She Still Loves Him Or Not. He Tries To Make Kusum Love Him Without Telling The Reality. One Day He Proposes Her But She Refuses Saying That She Loves Other Man. Heartbroken Laure Returns To Kathmandu. Meanwhile, Kusum Comes To Realize That The Guy Was Laure, the Guy She Actually Loves and She Goes To Search Laure When They Are About To Meet Kusum is Kiddnapped While Chasing Laure Has an accident. And The story Takes 4 Months Forward Where Laure Is In Hospital. He Decides To Search Kusum. He Tries His Best And Finally He Reaches To The Kidnapper Don ( Anoop Bikram Shahi ) And the Fight Goes Between Goons And Laure. In the Last Breath of The Villains He Says That Kusum was Killed The Day She was Kidnapped. The Day She Was Kidnapped She was Raped By Goons And Killed. And Laure Kill The Villain Brutally. The Film Ends With Laure Injured Crying and Holding A Piece Of Cloth Which is Kusum Last Memory. And The Film Ends With Last Message Notes About Rape Cases.[6][7]

Kri is set in the budget of 3.5 crore NPR and the lead cast of Kri Anmol K.C. has charged 20 lakhs for the film which makes him one of the highest-paid actors of Nepal.[8][9]

Release

The trailer for Kri was released in December 15, 2017 on HighlightsNepal YouTube channel the trailer for the film sits at nearly 2 million views. The film is to be released on Valentine's Day 2018 (14 February 2018) and it was originally set to release in Nepalese's festival thihar. The film's poster was released in Aditi Budhathoki's birthday. It collected Around 75 lakhs in First Day and It Collected 2.1 crores in Second Day which is Highest Single Day Collection in Nepal. It Collected Around 6 Crores In First Week.[10][11][12]
