Kitchen Superstar is a 2011 Philippine television reality competition cooking show broadcast by GMA Network. Hosted by Marvin Agustin, it premiered on April 4, 2011 replacing Kapuso Movie Festival. The show concluded on July 1, 2011 with a total of 63 episodes.

The program sought to discover the best non-professional cook in the country through a series of nationwide auditions. The contestants were selected from the various auditions that were held in seven key areas in the country – NCR, Pangasinan, Pampanga, Davao, Naga, Cebu, and Iloilo.[1]

Aside from the title, the prizes at stake includes PH₱ 1,000,000 (or US$ 24,000), a chance to shine as a culinary A-lister and to star in his/her own cooking show.[2]

Format

Of all people who auditioned nationwide, the top three from each area will be collected and will compete with one another in Manila. The cook-contestants have to survive different kitchen showdowns (Mega Showdown, Prize Showdown, and Elimination Showdown) in order to win and be the first Kitchen Superstar.
