Kankatapalem is a village in the Guntur district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is located in Bapatla mandal of Tenali revenue division.[1]

Government and politics

Kankatapalem gram panchayat is the local self-government of the village.[2][3] The panchayat has a total of 12 wards and each ward is represented by an elected ward member.[4] The ward members are headed by a sarpanch and the present sarpanch is Chukka Karuna Sree, who got elected in 2013.[5][6]
