KTES-LD, virtual channel 40 (UHF digital channel 26), is a low-powered MeTV-affiliated television station licensed to Abilene, Texas, United States. Owned by the Sinclair Broadcast Group, it is a sister station to Sweetwater-licensed ABC affiliate KTXS-TV (channel 12). The two stations share studios on North Clack Street in Abilene and transmitter facilities near Trent, Texas. In addition to its own digital signal, the station is simulcast in standard definition on KTXS' third digital subchannel.
History
The station was founded in 1995. It previously carried Telemundo, but switched to This TV on September 1, 2010.[1] Telemundo programming moved to KTAB-DT2 in 2014.
