KECA-LD Channel 29 is a low-power television station based in Eureka, California. It is owned by Sinclair Broadcast Group, which also owns KRCR-TV in Redding, KCVU-TV (owned by Cunningham Broadcasting) and KRVU-LD/KZVU-LD in Chico, California, and KAEF-TV in Eureka. History
The CW Network first appeared in Eureka on KUVU-TV as a part of the Eureka Broadcast Group, which owned KVIQ (CBS) and several other stations with affiliations to Fox, UPN, MyNetworkTV and others. KUVU was dissolved and Bonten Media Group launched KECA for the Eureka market.
On April 21, 2017, Sinclair Broadcast Group purchased KBVU as part of a four-station deal.[1] The sale was completed September 1.[2]
