John Stokes (Archdeacon of Armagh)

John Whitley Stokes (b. Dublin 6 January 1801 – d. Armagh 14 May 1885)[1] was Archdeacon of Armagh from 1842[2] until his death.

Stokes was educated at Trinity College, Dublin.[3] He was for many years Rector of Clogherny.[4]
